I See

I see,

Not just with eyes

That bare what is most feared,

But with a mind that understands.

Understands limitations

Because I see mine in you,

Hear it. Taste it.

Frustrating it builds upon me

Until all I can do is turn my gaze

Onto you, and expectation upon

Those too nervous, to scared,

That their worst fears are not true.

I see between spoken words,

Exist in that spot when your eyes,

Unable to hold for too long,

Meet mine.

And you get caught up in deciding

Today’s color because it’s easier

Than realizing,

My sight is not one in which

You’ll ever be able to hide.
