Prompt #6: A Road Trip You Can Only Take in Your Mind

A Road Trip I Can Only Take in My Mind

There is nothing more beautiful than a sleeping world slowly waking up to a new day. The moment before the sun peaks over the horizon, when the sky lightening with each passing second and the stars begin to disappear. It is birth, and death, wrapped peacefully together; words fail to truly describe the heartbreaking beauty of this moment. I find myself searching each day for this moment, breathing its’ seconds before they are ripped apart. Feet pounding blue-black pavement; running to catch the time. Landscapes change; melting of darkened figures that sway gently in the breeze as they line the road to bid me well. A few seconds is what I yearn for; before my eyes open, before the dreaming ends.
